Hey there,

I know from experience that selling online lately has become very difficult; from the state of the economy to online fraud on the rise to finding products to source.

I believe that the state of the economy will one day resolve itself because we started our business during the height of the recession in 2009, and have seen rode the tides of highs and lows. Online fraud appears will always be something that we have to worry about, because how would you know if the customer that you shipped the product to will complain that it was lost after delivery, not as described or that someone stole their card and purchased fraudulently?

There are several ways to assist with all those problems mentioned, but one way that we found is to not offer branded products. Lately, offering branded products have seem to have invited a war between the manufacturers and the online sellers. It appears as if they are scanning, and looking for anyone who are selling their brands to torment them.

The Three Strikes Policy was reintroduced in 2023 which literally means that online sellers can be banned from a marketplace if they have 3 or more violations, and since then we have seen a rise in VERO violations because we were selling fragrances that were inspired by a large fragrance manufacturer. The fragrances are currently being offered by Walmart and Amazon, and a large pharmacy. We procured our products from the large pharmacy as overstock and was hit many times, eventually we discarded the inventory because it was not worth the fight.

We now use Doba.com to source some our products because we can choose unbranded products that are cheaper and take the place of branded products. We took a hit when we had to discard the inventory that were causing issues and now it feels great to not have to worry about losing more over discarded inventory. We still want to maintain control over our business so we have only one partner. We still stock most of our products on our warehouse.

Doba offers a 30 days free trial, so that you get to try out the website to see if it's a good fit. You can try out Doba
